Because We Love You (Ashan Binhbik)
Because We Care is an annual campaign launched in 2014 by Sadagaat Charity Organization, held in conjunction with Breast Cancer Awareness Month (Pink October). The campaign was created to raise awareness about breast cancer, promote the importance of early detection, encourage regular breast self-examinations, and provide reliable health information that contributes to prevention and early diagnosis, ultimately improving the chances of successful treatment and recovery.
For more than a decade, the campaign reached thousands of beneficiaries through a series of awareness and community activities that helped spread accurate information about breast cancer, correct common misconceptions, and reinforce the importance of women's health.
Because You Matter
Because You Matter, one of the campaign's core activities. Awareness sessions were delivered in schools, universities, companies, and institutions, covering breast cancer awareness, the importance of monthly breast self-examinations, the correct way to perform them, and the early warning signs that require medical attention. These sessions contributed to strengthening a culture of prevention and early detection.
Get Checked, Inspire Others
Throughout the campaign's history, Get Checked, Inspire Others offered free clinical breast examinations through a number of clinics and healthcare centers under the supervision of qualified medical professionals. By improving access to early detection services, the initiative encouraged women to prioritize their health, undergo regular breast screening, and seek professional medical advice whenever needed.
Walk for Her
Walk for Her became one of the campaign's signature events, bringing together hundreds of participants for a symbolic 2,000-step walk along Nile Street in Khartoum in a powerful message of solidarity with women affected by breast cancer. The event also served as a call to raise awareness about the importance of early detection, promote a culture of prevention, and emphasize the vital role of community support for women facing the disease
