Children filled with joy and families welcoming the water with relief and hope marked the occasion
The project included drilling a 650-foot deep groundwater well, installing a 7.5-kilowatt solar power system to operate a 10-horsepower submersible pump, supplying and installing an elevated water tank, as well as fencing and protection works to ensure the station’s sustainable operation and maintenance
The project’s impact goes beyond providing clean water. It also helps reduce the daily burden on community members, giving families greater stability and making their everyday lives easier

The project included drilling a 600-foot-deep borehole and installing an 11-kilowatt solar power system to operate a 10-horsepower submersible pump, in addition to fencing and protection works to support the station’s sustainable operation and safeguard its infrastructure
The opening of the station will improve families’ access to clean water and reduce the challenges associated with obtaining water, contributing to better health, greater stability, and a more dignified life for the community, while representing a practical step toward a more sustainable future
Sadagaat Charity Organization inaugurated the Al-Kirdab Al-Wahda Water Station in East Nile Locality, Khartoum State, through the generous contribution of “Um Ali,” as part of its efforts to improve access to safe and sustainable water for communities in need
The project included the supply and installation of a 7.5 kW solar power system to operate a 10-horsepower submersible pump, in addition to the rehabilitation of the elevated water tank and the construction of fencing and protection works around the station. These interventions are intended to support the sustainability of the water supply and ensure continued access to clean water for beneficiaries
The inauguration forms part of Sadagaat’s ongoing efforts in the Water, Sanitation and Hygiene (WASH) sector, supporting the rehabilitation and development of water sources and related infrastructure to improve access to safe and sustainable water for vulnerable communities

Within the “48-Hour Response: Water, Sanitation and Hygiene Interventions to Reduce Morbidity and Mortality Among Families Facing Crises in Sudan” project, and with support from Save the Children in Sudan through the Sudan Humanitarian Fund (SHF), Sadagaat Charity Organization implemented a range of interventions in Al-Affad Displacement Camp in Al-Dabbah, Northern State, placing people and their essential needs at the center of the response
The intervention included the construction of permanent latrines and emergency bathing facilities, as well as handwashing stations, helping to create a safer and healthier environment. Environmental sanitation efforts were also strengthened through the provision of waste bins, hygiene supplies, and waste collection carts to maintain cleanliness within the camp and reduce health risks
The response also included the rehabilitation of two water stations powered by solar energy to ensure reliable and safe access to water, in addition to distributing household water containers to facilitate safe water storage and hygienic use
Recognizing that awareness is the first line of defense, health awareness campaigns were conducted alongside the distribution of educational messages on the importance of hygiene and the prevention of cholera and dengue fever, helping reduce the risk of disease transmission within the community
The response also focused on strengthening community capacity by training volunteers in water and sanitation management, water chlorination, and water quality monitoring. These efforts help promote sustainability and strengthen the community’s role in maintaining essential services
Personal hygiene kits were also distributed to girls, reflecting a commitment to supporting women and girls and addressing their essential needs. Awareness and discussion sessions were conducted to highlight the importance of personal hygiene among girls
These interventions go beyond providing essential services. They contribute to creating a safer and healthier environment, enabling families to live with greater dignity and strengthening their resilience in the face of ongoing challenges

By the grace and mercy of Allah, Sadagaat Charity Organization successfully implemented the “Sacrifice for Us and for Others” project for 2026. With the slaughtering and distribution fully completed, the project has come to a successful close, achieving its goal of delivering support to those who needed it most.
This year, 609 cattle and 166 sheep were slaughtered and distributed across 10 Sudanese states: Khartoum, Northern, River Nile, Gezira, Sennar, Blue Nile, White Nile, North Kordofan, South Kordofan, and North Darfur.
Across every state, this was more than just a set of numbers. It was about reaching families in need, responding to their needs, and bringing moments of joy to communities that have endured difficult circumstances.

Sadagaat Charity Organization has reopened the Al-Sham Neighborhood Water Station in East Nile Locality, Khartoum State, following its rehabilitation through the generous support of a female donor who had previously partnered with Sadagaat on a water project in the Northern State. This renewed contribution reflects a lasting relationship built on trust and a shared commitment to creating sustainable impact
The reopening of the station was made as an ongoing charity in memory of the late Mosaddiq Taha and in remembrance of the late Ilham Osman. The station had ceased operations as a result of the war and was rehabilitated to restore water services to families in the area
The station was originally inaugurated in 2021 before becoming non-operational. Rehabilitation works included the installation of a submersible pump and a solar power system, strengthening the station’s capacity to provide a more sustainable water supply and helping reduce the daily challenges faced by families in accessing water
The reopening of Al-Sham Water Station forms part of Sadagaat’s ongoing efforts to support communities by rehabilitating and restoring water sources that have been disrupted, while promoting sustainable access to clean water
