During her current visit to Khartoum, Ms. Manal Makawi Ibrahim, Secretary of Social Affairs in Northern State, met with Sadagaat Charity Organization to discuss ways to strengthen humanitarian and social cooperation, review the organization’s recent interventions in the state, and explore its upcoming plans and programs.
The meeting, attended by Dr. Shiraz Omar Hijazi, Director of Health Insurance in Northern State, highlighted Sadagaat’s efforts to support local communities through education initiatives, student transportation and meals during academic periods and examinations, and social protection programs supporting families and children, including school kits and foster family assistance.
Ms. Manal Makawi commended the organization’s support for families of martyrs, orphans, and vulnerable communities, emphasizing the role of these interventions in easing household burdens and helping children access education.
She also underscored the importance of continued coordination between government institutions and humanitarian and social organizations to ensure that interventions respond to the actual needs and priorities of affected communities.
At the conclusion of the meeting, Sadagaat Charity Organization honored the Secretary of Social Affairs in recognition of her efforts to support humanitarian and social work and her contributions to community and humanitarian initiatives.
Sadagaat Charity Organization welcomed a delegation from the World Health Organization (WHO), including Mr. Abdel Nasser, WHO Country Director, and Mr. Fouad Khan, Federal Health Cluster Coordinator, during a field visit to Al-Afadh Clinic, Sudani Diagnostic Laboratory, which was established and equipped with support from Sudani Telecommunications Company, before Sadagaat Charity Organization took over its operation and management of its services, and Al-Dabba Central Hospital in the Northern State.
The visit provided an opportunity to review the healthcare and nutrition services delivered to communities and displaced people, and to explore ongoing efforts to sustain and improve their quality.
The figures reflect the scale of these services: the clinics receive around 3,700 beneficiaries each month, while Sudani Diagnostic Laboratory serves approximately 1,075 beneficiaries monthly. Overall, the project’s services reach 13,543 beneficiaries each month, with an average of 520 beneficiaries served per day.
The visit also highlighted the value of coordination and partnerships in supporting continuity of care and responding to evolving community needs.

Sadagaat Charity Organization implemented a Dignity Kits distribution project benefiting 1,020 female students in Dongola Locality, Northern State, during their intermediate school examinations.
The project provided students with essential items to support them throughout the examination period, helping create more stable conditions, protect their privacy and dignity, and enable them to focus on their education.
A team of volunteers, both women and men, supported the implementation of the project by organizing the distribution and ensuring that the assistance reached the students in a manner that respected their needs, privacy, and dignity.
The intervention is part of Sadagaat Charity Organization’s efforts to support students and create more conducive conditions for continued education, particularly during periods when additional support is needed.
With support from Hidaya Foundation through Sadagaat-USA, Sadagaat Charity Organization implemented food assistance interventions over the past three months in Khartoum, Atbara, and El Obeid, distributing 1,700 food baskets to beneficiary families.
The assistance aimed to provide families with essential food items, help ease their financial burden, and support their ability to meet daily needs amid the current circumstances.
This intervention is part of Sadagaat Charity Organization’s ongoing efforts to respond to humanitarian needs and expand access to assistance for families across different areas, helping them cope with the challenges affecting their daily lives.
Sadagaat Charity Organization, with support from UNICEF and in partnership with the Ministry of Education of North Kordofan State, conducted a training workshop for facilitators of e-learning centers in Al-Rahad and Um Rawaba localities. The workshop was held in El Obeid, the capital of North Kordofan State, with the participation of seven facilitators.
The workshop covered key topics related to the management and operation of e-learning centers, as well as child protection and psychosocial support. The sessions aimed to strengthen facilitators’ capacities and support the provision of a safe and child-friendly learning environment.
The training focused on developing facilitators’ skills in managing the centers more effectively and enhancing their ability to respond to children’s educational and psychosocial needs, helping ensure continued access to learning opportunities amid the challenges facing education.
The workshop is part of ongoing efforts under the E-Learning Project to strengthen the capacity of center staff, support the continuity of education, and provide safer and more responsive learning environments for children.
