Sadagaat Charity Organization concluded a series of training workshops under the project “Provision of Integrated Life-Saving Health and Nutrition Services for IDPs and Host Communities” in the localities of Dongola and Dabba, targeting 200 trainees in total.
As part of this series, Sadagaat conducted a workshop on “Psychological First Aid” in Dongola Locality, with the participation of 20 trainees, supported by the Sudan Humanitarian Fund (SHF) through Alight Organization, and in partnership with the Ministry of Health in Northern State.
The workshop aimed to enhance the capacity of humanitarian and health workers in providing initial psychological support during crises. It focused on raising awareness about the importance of mental health, equipping participants with the knowledge and basic skills to assist individuals affected by psychological trauma, and enabling them to offer psychological first aid.
It also aimed to build a community support network capable of providing an initial response to psychological stress and behavioral disorders resulting from disasters or conflicts.
