Inauguration of the Rehabilitated Al-Baghdadi Lecture Hall – Faculty of Medicine, University of Khartoum

Sadagaat Charity Organization inaugurated the newly rehabilitated Al-Baghdadi Lecture Hall at the Faculty of Medicine, University of Khartoum, following the completion of its rehabilitation works. The project was generously funded by Dr. Mohamed Nagd Mirghani through Sadagaat-USA. The inauguration ceremony was attended by the Federal Minister of Health, Dr. Haitham Ali Ahmed; the Acting Director of the University of Khartoum, Dr. Mahmoud Ali Ahmed; the Dean of the Faculty of Medicine, Professor Abdul Samee Abdullah Mohammed; as well as university leadership, faculty members, administrative staff, students, and reconstruction partners.
With a seating capacity of 380 students, Al-Baghdadi Lecture Hall is one of the Faculty of Medicine's principal teaching facilities. The rehabilitation project included comprehensive structural and architectural works, plumbing and electrical upgrades, and the installation of a modern audiovisual system featuring an interactive display with remote-control functionality. The project also included the installation of a 35-ton central HVAC system, landscaping works, rehabilitation of the external canopy, and the installation of a solar power system, creating a modern, fully equipped learning environment.
This project reflects Sadagaat Charity Organization's ongoing commitment to strengthening the education sector and supporting the restoration of educational institutions. By providing medical students with a modern and conducive learning environment, the initiative contributes to the continuity of quality medical education while supporting Sudan's broader recovery and reconstruction efforts.
