Sadagaat Charity Organization Inaugurates Wad Al-Bashir Water Station

As part of the “Resilience and Recovery Support Project for Returnees and Host Communities” in East Nile locality, Khartoum State, Sudan, and with support from the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), Sadagaat Charity Organization inaugurated the Wad Al-Bashir Water Station, Block 1, providing clean water to around 5,000 people.

The project included the installation of a 15-horsepower solar energy system, rehabilitation of the elevated water tank, as well as fencing and protection works.

The project is expected to make a tangible difference in the lives of beneficiaries by providing reliable access to clean water, positively impacting public health and easing the burden of water access, especially among returnees and host communities. Solar energy solutions also help reduce operational costs and ensure efficient, long-term sustainability of the service.
