Sadagaat Charity Organization has launched the Integrated Sudan Resilience Initiative project in Khartoum State, in partnership with the State Ministry of Agriculture, Animal Resources and Irrigation, and with support from the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) and the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA). The initiative is part of broader efforts to support recovery and strengthen the economic and social resilience of communities.

The initiative aims to empower productive groups by strengthening their capacities and supporting the development of their businesses, while improving their access to markets and financial resources. These efforts are intended to create more sustainable economic opportunities and strengthen livelihoods.

The first phase of the project will target at least 1,600 beneficiaries in Bahri and East Nile localities of Khartoum State, with a particular focus on agricultural and productive activities.

Target groups include women and productive households, entrepreneurs and start-up owners, owners of micro, small and medium-sized enterprises, agricultural producers, agricultural and productive associations and groups, as well as owners of productive and service-based activities with potential for growth, expansion, and market access.

The agricultural interventions are expected to cover projects across a total area of approximately 400 feddans, supporting increased agricultural production and strengthening producers’ capacity to sustain and grow their activities while improving access to markets.

The project is part of Sadagaat Charity Organization’s efforts to support economic recovery and strengthen livelihood opportunities by empowering productive groups and creating a more enabling environment for growth and stability, contributing to more resilient communities better equipped to face and recover from challenges.
