In East Nile Locality, “Mrs. Safiya,” received her share of seeds and agricultural tools, beginning her journey with a small plot of land behind her home—a land that longed to embrace the seeds and nurture crops carrying promise and hope.
This initiative is part of the Home Gardening Project, which supports 30 women, funded by the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP Sudan) and implemented by Sadagaat Charity Organization.
In small plots behind homes, these seeds transform into vibrant “Jabaraka gardens”—spaces that restore the fertility of the land and renew the women’s confidence in their ability to produce and sustain themselves.
In Sudan, where challenges are immense and conditions harsh, these seeds are more than just food…
They are a message of resilience, a preservation of dignity, and a first step toward a more stable and hopeful future.
