As part of the E-Learning Project in Khartoum State, supported by UNICEF and implemented in partnership with the State Ministry of Education, Sadagaat Charity Organization conducted a training workshop titled “Community Behavioral Change and Learning Through Educational Platforms.”

The workshop brought together 23 community facilitators from Karari, Bahri, East Nile, and Jebel Awlia localities.

The training aimed to strengthen participants’ capacities in community behavioral change and learning through educational platforms, while enhancing the role of communities in promoting positive practices and supporting continuity of education.

The workshop covered several key areas, including the concept of community behavioral change and the role of communities in preserving positive social values. Participants also received practical training on developing data collection and analysis plans and preparing concise and informative reports through hands-on exercises.

Additional sessions focused on establishing educational platforms within communities and developing effective approaches to promoting and publicizing them, as well as creating community groups to facilitate communication and the exchange of awareness-raising and community development initiatives.

The training also introduced participants to available media and educational resources that can support learning, including the E-Passport, national radio, and educational materials stored on portable storage devices. Participants were also introduced to the use of educational channels via the Nilesat satellite to support lesson revision, particularly in Arabic and mathematics, for children aged 7 to 14.

The workshop forms part of the E-Learning Project’s efforts in Khartoum State to strengthen the capacities of community facilitators and expand access to available educational platforms and resources, supporting children’s continued access to learning opportunities.
