Cash For Work Project

Cash For Work Project

East Nile Locality in Khartoum State witnessed the launch of the “Cash-for-Work” project, implemented by Sadaqat Charity Organization with the support of UNDP Sudan, as part of the “Resilience Building for Returnees and Host Communities Project.”

The Cash-for-Work initiative is a large-scale cleaning campaign across all sectors of East Nile Locality. It was officially inaugurated on Wednesday, September 24, 2025, starting from Maidan Al-Mawlid in the Dar Al-Salam Al-Maghariba neighborhood, in the presence of distinguished government officials, underlining the importance of this community-driven initiative.

The project benefits 350 community members, who receive financial contributions in return for their active participation in cleaning and sanitation activities. These include removing waste and garbage, clearing and dismantling obstacles from roads, and rehabilitating public spaces.

The campaign goes beyond practical fieldwork, also featuring a package of awareness activities, workshops, and training sessions. These sessions aim to raise participants’ awareness, strengthen their community development skills, and build their capacities to ensure the sustainability of efforts and achieve a long-term positive impact.

To the soul of Mr. Said Abdulhadi Said, may he rest in peace,
We have continued on your path, raising your torch that never extinguished, and we carry on the journey you began with your pure spirit and heart that knew nothing but giving.
Today, by the grace of God and your tireless efforts, and with the support of UNICEF Sudan, Sadagaat Charity Organization has opened the Qirqaf Center in Wad al-Hilou locality, Kassala State—a place you were on your way to, guided by the dreams of the children who awaited you. Today, it has become their sanctuary of knowledge and light. The center, which began as a dream, has now become a reality. It houses 480 children who look forward to a bright tomorrow and a shining hope.
You have departed, but your impact remains eternal, and your work lives on. The fruits of your labor bloom in the minds of these little ones whom you carried in your heart, every letter they learn, every step they take towards knowledge. We pray that this becomes an ongoing charity for you and a mercy that nourishes your pure soul.
And we remain faithful to the promise, following in your footsteps…

It is worth noting that Mr. Said was part of the education team at Sadqat and passed away in December 2024 in a car accident while on his way to implement the electronic education centers project in Kassala.

Sadagaat Charity Organization, with the support of UNICEF Sudan, has inaugurated the (Hai Al-Qasm) E-Learning Center in Al-Damazin, Blue Nile State. This event received high-level support with the attendance of the Regional Minister of Education, Ms. Fawateh Al-Noor Al-Bashir, the Director of Adult Education, Mr. Omar Ahmed Ajab Al-Dor, and education directors from various localities and educational stages.

The Hai Al-Qasm Center has accommodated 90 students with a very high level of activity and zero absenteeism. The students include homeless children, orphans, and local children from the area, with registration still ongoing, highlighting the urgent need for more centers in the region.

We extend our sincere gratitude to the Ministry of Education and the Adult Education Administration for their great efforts in facilitating this project.

Together, we build a better future for the children of Sudan!
