The project aims to distribute medical supplies to cholera isolation centers in Khartoum State. The supplies were delivered to Al-Fath Isolation Center and the Emergency Department at the Ministry of Health for further distribution to mobile clinics and rapid response teams supported by MedGlobal
Sadagaat Charity Organization, through a generous contribution from Sadagaat USA, covered the operational costs of the Kidney Patients' Rest House for both children and adults in Atbara, River Nile State, during February 2024. Sadagaat continued its support for the facility throughout May and June 2024 at a cost of USD 13,000 per month.
The operational support covered the building's rental costs, food supplies, medications, hygiene materials, fuel for patient transportation and ambulance services, as well as incentives for the rest house staff, ensuring the continuity of essential care and support for kidney patients and their companions.
The project aims to enhance medical services provided to children by establishing an intermediate care unit at Dongola Hospital, which will include 4 beds with complete equipment, accessories, and infection control supplies, in addition to civil works.
The Atbara Dialysis Center is considered the main dialysis center in the River Nile State. With the war, many displaced people flocked to the center. The required interventions are:
– Providing 2 additional dialysis machines for the center
– Providing 2 split air conditioners for the center
The center receives 544 patients per month
After the outbreak of conflict in Khartoum State and the displacement of thousands of families, many families decided to travel to neighboring Egypt, and many families were stranded in the border city of Halfa. The pressure on health institutions became high. The project’s activities aim to provide incentives for workers at the Halfa Dialysis Center to help provide dialysis services at the center.
The project aims to provide incentives for all staff working at Atbara Dialysis Center for one month, as well as for the emergency staff for six months, in order to address the long waiting lists.
