The project aims to provide access to safe drinking water and proper sanitation as part of the emergency humanitarian response for displaced people at the Nimeiri Shelter Center in Dongola Locality, Northern State.
The intervention includes:
Providing access to emergency sanitation by constructing emergency latrines and bathrooms.
Rehabilitating existing latrines.
Establishing water distribution points.
Mobilizing the community for environmental sanitation and supporting campaigns with the provision of cleaning equipment.
The project targets the Buri Al-Mahs area in Khartoum State, which suffers from a shortage of clean, safe, and sufficient water to meet the needs of residents and returnees affected by the conflict. The project aims to provide access to clean water in high-need areas of Buri through drilling a groundwater well with a depth of approximately 600 feet (+/-), installing a submersible pump, supplying and installing a solar energy system, and constructing a protective fence.
The project aims to provide access to drinking water and sanitation as part of the emergency humanitarian response to the cholera outbreak for displaced persons in shelter centers, as well as for communities in need in Kassala State. The intervention includes:
1. Proper sanitation measures in cholera emergency situations at shelter centers.
2. Promoting sanitation and raising awareness within communities.
3. Emergency water supply for shelter centers.
4. Water supply for vulnerable communities.
5. Supporting the technical staff of the Water Authority and health institutions.
Sadagaat Charity Organization has completed the rehabilitation of El- Sidaira Water Station in Kamilin locality of Al-Jazira State, with a generous donation from a benefactor.
The project includes the supply and installation of a solar energy system to operate a 15-horsepower submersible pump.
It is worth noting that this area is located within a conflict zone in Al-Jazira State, which has posed a challenge in securing sufficient fuel to operate the station, increasing the suffering of the citizens. This project will help provide clean drinking water for 25,000 people from the area and neighboring villages.
Sadagaat Charity Organization has inaugurated the Al-Shaikab Al-Kurd Water Station in the Al-Dabba locality of the Northern State, with a generous donation from Sadagaat Community to provide water for approximately 2,500 residents of the village at a cost of $9,315.
The project included drilling a water well with a depth of 505 feet, as well as supplying and installing a 10-horsepower submersible pump.
