What began as a small area surrounding “Um Hassan” Farm has grown into a productive home farm, providing food for the family and creating new opportunities to improve their livelihood.
Through the Home Gardens Support activity, implemented under the Strengthening Resilience and Recovery for Returnees and Host Communities in Sharq Al Neel Locality project by Sadagaat Charity Organization with support from UNDP Sudan, the family received the support needed to develop their farm. This included the provision of a water tank, a water pump, and fencing, creating the conditions for sustainable agricultural production.
Today, the farm produces a variety of crops, with plans to expand cultivation in the coming seasons. The family also benefited from training workshops on food processing, learning how to produce jams, dry vegetables, and package agricultural products using safe and hygienic practices, helping add value to their harvest.
The story of “Um Hassan & Wajan” Farm reflects the impact the activity strives to achieve. By supporting home gardens, the project goes beyond increasing agricultural production—it strengthens food security, improves livelihoods, and empowers families to become more self-reliant and resilient.
“Moushtaha MohammedIbrahim” was unable to attend school, having grown up in a community where girls had limited opportunities to pursue their education. As a result, her dream of learning remained out of reach for years.
Through the E-Learning Project, implemented by Sadagaat Charity Organization with support from UNICEF Sudan in Blue Nile State, “Moushtaha” was given the opportunity to return to school and continue her educational journey in a safe and supportive learning environment.
Today, “Moushtaha” continues her education with confidence and hope, benefiting from the opportunities the project provides for children whose education has been interrupted. Her story reflects the impact the project strives to achieve—access to education does more than enable children to learn; it opens new opportunities, empowers them to build their future, and helps them realize their aspirations.
“Nadir” was one of the children who had been out of school until the Safe Space in Maragha, Northern State, gave him the opportunity to return to a learning environment that encouraged him to learn, participate, and discover his potential.
Through the Safe Space activities (SLS) with support from UNICEF, “Nadir” built new friendships, developed greater self-confidence, and actively participated in a wide range of educational and extracurricular activities. He joined the school choir, contributed to the folklore team, and went on to captain the Grade 6 volleyball team, becoming a leader among his peers.
“Nadir’s” story reflects the impact that Sadagaat's education programs strive to achieve. Bringing children back to school is about more than restoring access to education—it is about providing a safe environment where they can grow, build confidence, discover their talents, and actively participate in their communities.
“Mouminat”, from Al Malam Village in South Darfur, lost her eyesight in early childhood due to cataracts, leaving her to face years of challenges that prevented her from seeing the world around her and affected every aspect of her daily life.
Through the Eyes That See Hope project, implemented by Sadagaat Charity Organization under its Health Program, “Mouminat” received the specialized medical care she needed through the generous support of donors. She underwent cataract surgery at Eye Hospital in Nyala, South Darfur, where her vision was successfully restored.
With her sight restored, “Mouminat” was given the opportunity to begin a new chapter in her life, rediscovering the world around her and embracing a brighter future.
“Mouminat's” story reflects the impact achieved through the Eyes That See Hope project. By providing specialized eye care services with the support of donors, the project helped restore sight, improve quality of life, and give patients the opportunity to rebuild their lives with dignity and hope.
A generous act of giving, inspired by the belief that providing clean water is among the greatest forms of charity, has brought lasting hope to an entire community. Through the generous donation of Um Ali, may Allah grant her good health and a long life, Sadagaat Charity Organization inaugurated the Al-Kardab Al-Wahda Water Station in East Nile Locality, Khartoum State, creating a sustainable source of clean water for local residents.
The project included the supply and installation of a 7.5 kW solar power system to operate a 10-horsepower submersible pump, the rehabilitation of the elevated water tank, and the construction of protective fencing and security measures to ensure the long-term sustainability of the station and reliable access to safe water for beneficiaries.
This initiative reflects the lasting impact of charitable giving in improving lives and strengthening communities. We pray that Allah accepts this contribution as Sadaqah Jariyah (continuous charity), places it in the donor's scale of good deeds, and allows its blessings to continue benefiting people for years to come.
