Peer-to-Peer Training Initiative

Peer-to-Peer Training Initiative

Sadagaat Charity Organization has launched an innovative peer-to-peer training initiative in Halfa, Northern State. This approach involves training a group of young people or adolescents from the same age group to share knowledge and skills with their peers—creating a sustainable chain of community awareness and education.

This training is part of the organization’s commitment to child protection within its humanitarian efforts. It aims to raise community awareness about protection issues and to foster a safe environment for children and adolescents.

The training covered key protection topics, including:
• Raising awareness about protection concepts and safe touch.
• Understanding gender-based violence (GBV) and how to respond to it.
• Highlighting the dangers of child marriage and its harmful impact on individuals and communities.

Through this program, Sadagaat Charity reaffirms its commitment to strengthening community capacities and empowering young people to actively contribute to protecting themselves and those around them—paving the way for a more informed and safer future.

Sadagaat Charity Organization has inaugurated a water supply project in the Abu Hujar area, Sennar locality – Sennar State, generously supported by Sadagaat-Canada. The project is a Sadaqah Jariyah (ongoing charity) in memory of the late Dar Al-Surour Haj Ali Mohamed Ali, to provide clean water to approximately 3,500 people in the region.

The project includes the supply and installation of a solar energy system, along with a 20-horsepower submersible pump, to ensure sustainable access to clean water that supports the community and improves quality of life.
