Ramadan 2024

Ramadan 2024

As the blessed month of Ramadan comes to an end, we pray that Allah accepts from us and from you our fasting, prayers, and righteous deeds. Wishing you all a blessed Eid, and may Allah bring Ramadan and Eid back to us while our country enjoys peace and stability

This Ramadan was particularly challenging for families affected by conflict and displacement, many of whom had lost their homes and means of livelihood. Sadagaat launched an appeal to provide Iftar meals to displaced people in shelters and conflict-affected areas. You responded with extraordinary generosity, and the numbers tell a story of collective achievement

By the grace of Allah and through your generous contributions, approximately 2 million Iftar meals were provided. The meals were prepared through 40 central kitchens across 8 states and 12 cities throughout Sudan. We were able to reach 160 shelters and centers, serving more than 9,000 families

The total cost of the Iftar programme amounted to SDG 760,213,366, supported by more than 20 national and international donors, with over 25 local partners contributing to its implementation

Our deepest gratitude and appreciation go to our brothers and sisters in the Sadagaat USA community and its partners, who provided the largest share of the overall contributions, accounting for 80% of the total donations

We extend our heartfelt thanks and appreciation for your generous contributions, as well as to the community initiatives, Takayas (community kitchens), and volunteers who played an essential role in making this effort possible

May Allah accept your generosity and reward you abundantly. Ramadan came with its blessings, and you were the الخير — the goodness that made it possible

E-Learning in the Northern State

E-Learning in the Northern State

Sadagaat Charity Organization works to expand access to education through E-learning solutions, enabling children to continue their education in communities where access to traditional schooling is challenging. Through partnerships with local and international organizations, Sadagaat implements a range of educational initiatives that respond to community needs and support the continuity of learning

Sadagaat’s interventions in this area include the E-learning Project in the Northern State, the Thabat Project in the Northern State and Kassala State, and the Makana Project, which supports 43 schools. Through these initiatives, partners contribute across different areas to strengthen the quality of education and expand access to learning opportunities

In the Northern State, the E-learning network has expanded to more than 100 E-learning centers, providing more children with access to educational content and enabling them to continue learning in educational environments close to their communities. These centers are also complemented by children’s clubs and activities, which provide safe spaces for learning, interaction, and skills development, supporting children’s development beyond academic learning

These initiatives demonstrate the importance of partnerships in developing more sustainable and context-appropriate educational solutions. They also strengthen Sadagaat’s capacity to work with local and international partners and leverage diverse expertise and resources to reach more children and support their right to education

Through these efforts, Sadagaat aims to make education more accessible and sustainable, using digital solutions and effective partnerships to create learning opportunities that reach children wherever they are

Safe Spaces in the Northern State

Safe Spaces in the Northern State

Sadagaat Charity Organization established 50 safe learning spaces in the Northern State, aiming to support children in returning to education and restoring their learning routines in environments that protected them from the effects of the conflict and provided the support they needed to continue learning

These spaces provided safe educational environments that helped children regain a sense of stability and belonging, while offering opportunities for learning, interaction, and skills development away from the impact of conflict. They also supported families and local communities by providing safe spaces for children where their safety and right to education remained a priority

This intervention contributed to helping children return to the education pathway and strengthened their ability to continue learning and developing in a safer and more stable environment
