Zakat Al-Fitr

Zakat Al-Fitr

Zakat al-Fitr is one of Sadagaat Charity Organization's annual humanitarian initiatives. Through this project, Sadagaat receives Zakat al-Fitr contributions from individuals inside and outside Sudan and distributes flour to vulnerable families within the prescribed time in accordance with Islamic teachings. By fulfilling its religious purpose, the project strengthens food security and enables families to welcome Eid with dignity and peace of mind. Thanks to the dedication of volunteers, the support of partners, and the trust of the Sadagaat community, Zakat al-Fitr reaches its rightful beneficiaries efficiently, transparently, and with respect for their dignity.

More than fulfilling a religious obligation, Zakat al-Fitr strengthens the bonds of solidarity that unite communities across Sudan. It brings together donors, volunteers, partners, and families in need in a shared act of compassion, reminding us that the true spirit of Eid lies in ensuring that no family is left behind.

Udhiya

Udhiya

Udhiya Project is one of Sadagaat Charity Organization's annual projects, through which the organization receives the value of sacrifices from donors inside and outside Sudan, and oversees the slaughtering, processing, and distribution of the meat in accordance with Islamic guidelines, ensuring that it reaches the families who need it most at the appropriate time.

Amid the humanitarian challenges facing Sudan, and in the wake of the war that has caused widespread displacement and a severe deterioration in living conditions, access to adequate food has become a daily challenge for thousands of families. Through this project, Sadagaat provides sacrificial meat to conflict-affected and displaced families, helping strengthen food security, ease economic hardship, and enable families to celebrate Eid Al-Adha with joy and dignity.

At Sadagaat Charity Organization, we believe that Eid al-Adha is more than a religious occasion—it is a message of compassion and solidarity that enables families in need to celebrate Eid with greater joy and peace of mind.

Breast Cancer Awareness

Breast Cancer Awareness

Because We Love You (Ashan Binhbik)

Because We Care is an annual campaign launched in 2014 by Sadagaat Charity Organization, held in conjunction with Breast Cancer Awareness Month (Pink October). The campaign was created to raise awareness about breast cancer, promote the importance of early detection, encourage regular breast self-examinations, and provide reliable health information that contributes to prevention and early diagnosis, ultimately improving the chances of successful treatment and recovery.

For more than a decade, the campaign reached thousands of beneficiaries through a series of awareness and community activities that helped spread accurate information about breast cancer, correct common misconceptions, and reinforce the importance of women's health.

Because You Matter

Because You Matter, one of the campaign's core activities. Awareness sessions were delivered in schools, universities, companies, and institutions, covering breast cancer awareness, the importance of monthly breast self-examinations, the correct way to perform them, and the early warning signs that require medical attention. These sessions contributed to strengthening a culture of prevention and early detection.

Get Checked, Inspire Others

Throughout the campaign's history, Get Checked, Inspire Others offered free clinical breast examinations through a number of clinics and healthcare centers under the supervision of qualified medical professionals. By improving access to early detection services, the initiative encouraged women to prioritize their health, undergo regular breast screening, and seek professional medical advice whenever needed.

Walk for Her

Walk for Her became one of the campaign's signature events, bringing together hundreds of participants for a symbolic 2,000-step walk along Nile Street in Khartoum in a powerful message of solidarity with women affected by breast cancer. The event also served as a call to raise awareness about the importance of early detection, promote a culture of prevention, and emphasize the vital role of community support for women facing the disease

Voluntary Blood Donation Awareness

Voluntary Blood Donation Awareness

Since 2014, Sadagaat has been implementing the Voluntary Blood Donation Awareness Campaign to increase public awareness, encourage regular voluntary blood donation, and shift the culture from family replacement donations toward a sustainable system of voluntary donors that helps maintain a safe and reliable blood supply for everyone.

In partnership with the National Voluntary Blood Donation Program and the Khartoum State Directorate of Laboratories, the organization regularly conducts blood donation drives in companies, educational institutions, public spaces, and workplaces, contributing to the availability of safe, screened blood for patients across Sudan.

Sadagaat also leads the annual "Our Blood for Our Country" campaign, which promotes voluntary blood donation across Sudan's states in collaboration with more than 70 civil society organizations and community initiatives, expanding awareness and strengthening community participation nationwide.

The campaign aims to raise public awareness about the importance of voluntary blood donation by correcting common misconceptions and encouraging individuals to become regular donors. It highlights both the humanitarian impact and the health benefits of donating blood, while promoting a sustainable culture of voluntary donation that helps ensure a safe and adequate blood supply for patients in need. The campaign also seeks to share Sadagaat's experience with organizations and community initiatives, inspiring them to adopt voluntary blood donation as a priority within their own programs and expand donation efforts across their communities.

The campaign delivers its mission through a range of integrated activities, including:

  • Organizing awareness campaigns to educate communities about the importance and benefits of voluntary blood donation.
  • Conducting regular blood donation drives in educational institutions, companies, government entities, and public spaces.
  • Supporting the rehabilitation of blood banks by improving working environments and providing essential medical equipment and supplies to strengthen blood transfusion services.

Between 2014 and 2022, the campaign achieved significant results:

  • 310 voluntary blood donation campaigns conducted.
  • 70,813 beneficiaries supported through access to safe blood and blood products.
Strengthening Partnerships with the Islamic Development Bank Group (IsDB)

Strengthening Partnerships with the Islamic Development Bank Group (IsDB)

Sadagaat Charity Organization participated in the 2026 Annual Meetings of the Islamic Development Bank (IsDB) Group in Baku, Azerbaijan, held under the theme "Regional Integration for Sustainable Prosperity." The meetings brought together development partners to strengthen regional cooperation and promote sustainable development.

Sadagaat's participation marked an important step toward establishing a strategic partnership with the Islamic Development Bank Group, built around shared priorities in sustainable development, capacity building, and strengthening humanitarian response efforts in Sudan.

Through this collaboration, the organization aims to mobilize resources, expand cooperation, and support communities affected by crises by advancing programs in health, education, food security, and water supply, while contributing to long-term resilience and sustainable recovery.

The participation also provided an opportunity to strengthen Sadagaat's presence within the international development community, build relationships with global partners, and exchange knowledge on innovative humanitarian and development approaches.

By expanding strategic partnerships and international collaboration, Sadagaat continues to strengthen its role as a national humanitarian organization supporting recovery, resilience, and sustainable development across Sudan.
