East Nile Locality in Khartoum State witnessed the launch of the “Cash-for-Work” project, implemented by Sadaqat Charity Organization with the support of UNDP Sudan, as part of the “Resilience Building for Returnees and Host Communities Project.”
The Cash-for-Work initiative is a large-scale cleaning campaign across all sectors of East Nile Locality. It was officially inaugurated on Wednesday, September 24, 2025, starting from Maidan Al-Mawlid in the Dar Al-Salam Al-Maghariba neighborhood, in the presence of distinguished government officials, underlining the importance of this community-driven initiative.
The project benefits 350 community members, who receive financial contributions in return for their active participation in cleaning and sanitation activities. These include removing waste and garbage, clearing and dismantling obstacles from roads, and rehabilitating public spaces.
The campaign goes beyond practical fieldwork, also featuring a package of awareness activities, workshops, and training sessions. These sessions aim to raise participants’ awareness, strengthen their community development skills, and build their capacities to ensure the sustainability of efforts and achieve a long-term positive impact.

Sadagaat Charity Organization has launched a capacity-building program to enhance the efficiency of volunteers in Northern State, as part of its efforts to strengthen voluntary work and develop the skills of young cadres.
The Northern State office has a wide base of male and female volunteers, with more than 350 individuals who have contributed to Ramadan projects and other humanitarian initiatives across various sectors.
The first group of the program was launched with the participation of 20 volunteers, beginning with a workshop on communication skills and the fundamentals of volunteer work. The training sessions will continue to cover community networking, community leadership, as well as training on the protection system and the code of conduct at Sadagaat.

Sadagaat Charity Organization implemented a water station project in Shambat Block 15 – Bahri Locality – Khartoum State, as an ongoing charity (Sadaqah Jariyah) dedicated to the soul of the late Dr. Fouad Nassif Mansour.
The project included: drilling a groundwater well 600 feet deep, installing a 20-horsepower solar pumping system, and carrying out fencing and protection works.
Here in Shambat, Block 15—home to its proud residents—known as “Our Big House,” as its people lovingly call it, a name that reflects their strong bonds and solidarity. Today, they return to write a new chapter of hope, rebuilding their community with unyielding determination.

After a brutal war that drained both the land and its people, the residents of Buri in Khartoum endured the torment of siege and the bitterness of thirst. Yet life has begun to whisper once more… that Khartoum is healing.
With an unyielding will and the determination of the people of Al-Barari, a spark of hope was ignited. The local community took it upon themselves to build the Buri Al-Mahs Water Station, and the Sadagaat community stepped in to cover the remaining costs.
It is not merely a water well, but a ray of hope that breathes life again—an indication that tomorrow will be better, and that Khartoum, despite all the suffering it has endured, is capable of rising once more… stronger, more radiant, and closer to life.

Sadagaat Charity Organization, with the support of UNICEF Sudan and in partnership with the Ministry of Education and Guidance in Gedaref State, has continued its efforts to expand learning opportunities for out-of-school children by inaugurating eight new e-learning centers across the state.

Al-Rahad Locality (5 centers): Nezama, Malala, Gargoosha, Hajeelija, Sarki Noma

Central Gedaref Locality (1 center): Dalsa Anja

Al-Fashaga Locality (2 centers): Wad Hassan 1, Wad Hassan 2
With the addition of these new centers, the total number of e-learning centers in Gedaref State has now reached 21 centers. This milestone marks a significant step forward within the E-Learning Program, which aims to provide children with access to a safe and stimulating learning environment, equipped with modern technological tools, ensuring continuity of education even under the most challenging circumstances.
