With the support of UNICEF Sudan, Sadagaat Charity Organization implemented a Psychosocial Support Project for Basic Education Certificate students in Wadi Halfa, Northern State.
Through the initiative, social and psychological specialists provided emotional and moral support to students during the exam period, aiming to reduce stress and boost self-confidence.
The support activities included motivational individual and group talks, distribution of encouraging messages to inspire perseverance and excellence, and stress-relief exercises such as writing down fears and letting go of anxiety. The event concluded with a “Wishing Box,” where students wrote their personal wishes and aspirations for success—both for themselves and their peers.
This year, 1,414 students sat for the Basic Education Certificate exams in Halfa Unit (646 boys and 768 girls), and 725 students in Abri Unit (363 boys and 362 girls).
To ensure students received the maximum benefit, 10 social and psychological specialists were deployed across exam centers—two in each Halfa center and one in each of the two Abri centers.
Through these simple yet inspiring initiatives, Sadagaat Charity Organization continues to play an active role in creating a supportive learning environment that fosters hope and confidence in a brighter future.
