A New Beginning in East Nile: Solar-Powered Water Brings Life Back to the Fields

In East Nile Locality, Khartoum State…
Here, the land stretches, waiting for those who will cultivate it.
Men stand, accustomed to planting their determination in the soil before the seeds.
Their faces tell stories of patience…
And their hands bear the marks of past seasons.
Between the hardships of war and the hope of returning to life…
Here, Sadagaat Charity Organization, with the support of UNDP Sudan, inaugurated a solar-powered water station.

This was not just the opening of a project…
160 panels reach for the sun.
A 100-horsepower pump delivers water…
Enough to irrigate over 700 acres
and support 3,000 farmers
to bring life back to their fields.

Confident that tomorrow can be better…
With every drop of water…
And every seed sown…
Their dreams are renewed—more abundant harvests…
Better crops…
And more stable livelihoods for their families and communities.

From East Nile…
A new story begins…
Where resilience meets opportunity.
